3A toys shipping process map

Guys, this is my personal initiative...doesn't have to do anything with me being staff..

Please feel free to use it, when your APTK will land in US, that way each person can visit the map and see the process.

So how the map works? Basic thing , which we are interested in for now:

Additions -> add marker -> simple -> key (password): legion

fill in details and you can attach a photo and then submit

Thank you dunny! There is a lot of different features, which can be unlocked when I'll pay for using them...so we can pimp it and make different markers and etc.

Just not sure whether Legion will like to participate and use it, because without using it , the idea is dead.

I hope that I make sense, haven't had a good sleep in 48 hours.

This is a real cool idea, Dan.
May be something you haven't thought of yet, but are you going to clear the map for each release, or let the markers build up?

For example:
In 6 months, will AP TK markers still be on the map?
Or will markers X amount of months old be removed?


This is a very cool idea and I will be happy to participate in it.
I hope lots of others use it so that it becomes a great success

Is this only for APTK or for all orders received?  Are there different markers for each product???

 Ill clear the map or go for pro (you need to pay for it) and use dif. markers , its all manageable...if people will use it and like the idea. Thats what I had in mind.

I think its a sweet idea. 
Recently I took my design students on a trip to tour and study the corporate culture of Zappos...  They had a huge screen hooked up to their network that showed in real time orders being placed.  But what was really cool was that it was on a map of the US which showed a photo of the item being added to the shopping cart and where it was being ordered from. 
Nevertheless its the same idea only used for shipments received... 

Gimbat, this is a really cool idea... I think you may be able to use it for announcing when items will be shipping... you guys can place a maker for an item that started shipping and then everyone on the receiving end can start placing markers as they get them...  It will be like 3A is taking over the globe.

  now that's a  good idea, perfect and needs to be expanded later to track future shipments.

Just what the a True Legion should possess, knowledge about where it's troops advancement. 

What about going as far a having members PIN the location of their collections.  PRIVACY could be an issue to some.

Just a thought.

OT: Way cool that Ash want to open a 3A Design Studio in Oz... I'd be more than interested to participate.

half asleep here but wanted to put it out there..... maybe its been addressed in the past and possibly will not work at all for here but,

you can probably do all this and more for free and directly on the threeaonline.com site by simply using Google's Map API. Isnt this the same thing zeemaps is doing?

Gimby i'd hate for you to have to pay for anything if it can be done for free....
